L-260 SWITCH IDENTIFICATION:


POWER:
MAIN
- Applies DC / AC power to the panel and connectors P1 and P3
SPEAKER - Applies DC power from Main to Speaker channel in P1
PHONE - Applies DC power from Main to Phone channel in P1


METERING:
DC VOLTS - Panel meter monitors DC voltage applied to the Unit Under Test.
MAIN - Panel meter monitors all DC current to UUT.
PHONE - Panel meter monitors DC current to phone channel of UUT.
SPEAKER - Panel meter monitors DC current to Speaker channel of UUT
RMS VOLTS - Panel meter monitors the RMS Voltage of the signal selected by the RMS METERED switch.


RMS METERED:
This switch selects the output channel (9) or input channel (3) for monitoring by the panel meter.
Output:
PHONE - Panel meter monitors the phone line selected by Phone Lines Out (12).
MIKE AUDIO - Panel meter monitors the mike line out selected by Mike Line Outputs (6) switch.
SPEAKER - Panel meter monitors the speaker line output
PA - Panel meter monitors the PA line output.
EXT - Panel meter monitors the EXT line output.
X-CON - Panel meter monitors the cross connection for the intercom channel
AUX 1 - Panel meter monitors varying outputs depending on the UUT.
AUX 2 - Panel meter monitors varying outputs depending on the UUT.
AUX 3 - Panel meter monitors varying outputs depending on the UUT
Input:
REC IN - Panel meter monitors Com and Nav Receiver inputs selected by Receiver Audio (12) switch.
MIKE - Panel meter monitors mike audio input selected by Mike Audio Inputs
C-MIKE - Panel meter monitors crew mike audio input selected by Crew Mike Audio Inputs (6) switch.

150 OHM / 600 OHM switch used to select a load for the phone output. Center Off no panel load.

8 OHM / 4 OHM switch used to select a load for the speaker output. Center Off no panel load.

2K OHM switch used to select a load for x-con line. Center Off no panel load.

RECEIVER AUDIO - switch connects Receiver Audio Jacks to selected COM or REC audio inputs.

PHONE LINES OUT - Selects phone channel output line for metering and/or monitoring by panel

VOLUME - Adjust the volume at the L-260 panel speaker.

UNSWITCHED 2 / OFF / UNSWITCHED 1
- Connect the Receiver Audio tip jacks to selected unswitched audio input.

S1 THRU S7 - Used for varying options depending on the Unit Under Test.

MIKE LINE OUTPUTS - Selects both audio and key mike line output for metering and/or monitoring by the panel.

MIKE AUDIO INPUTS - Connects mike audio jack and the tip jacks to selected mike audio input.

MIKE KEY INPUTS - Connects mike key line to selected mike key input.

MIKE KEY - Switch grounds mike key line.

KEY OUT LAMP Lamp lights when selected mike key line is grounded.

CREW MIKE AUDIO INPUTS - Connect audio generator signal to selected crew-member intercom line.

HEADSET / OFF / PANEL SPEAKER - The HEADSET position is for a quick headset test. The PANEL SPEAKER position allows the L-260 panel speaker to output the selected audio at the RMS METERED switch.


TIP JACK IDENTIFICATION:

RMS METERED - Can be used to externally meter selected audio output or input lines. Can be used to connect a watt meter to a selected audio line.

SPEAKER - Can be used to externally meter speaker line or to connect a custom load.

PA - Can be used to externally meter PA line or to connect a custom load.

EXT - Can be used to externally meter the external speaker line or connect custom load.

X CON - Used as both output and input. As output used to externally meter intercom cross connect line. As input used to apply audio signal to cross connect line. Also to connect a custom load to line.

RECEIVER AUDIO - Connect signal generator to selected Com receiver / Nav receiver audio input line.

PHONE LINE OUT - Can be used to externally meter selected phone line output.

MIKE LINE OUTPUTS - Can be used to externally meter selected mike audio output.

CREW MIKE AUDIO INPUTS - Connect signal generator to selected Crew intercom mike audio line.

MIKE AUDIO INPUTS - Connect signal generator to selected mike input.

MIKE JACK - Connect a power mike or carbon mike for mike input for pilot / copilot.

PHONE JACK - Connect headphones or watt meter to selected phone output.

HEADSET JACK - Connection for both mike and headphone audio.

CONNECTORS:
P1    DD-50S    Mike lines, Comm Receiver, Nav Receiver, and unswitched audio inputs to UUT.
                         Also S5 and S6 double throw center off switch lines.

P2    DB-25S    Speaker, Phone, PA, EXT, XCON, AUX1-3 audio outputs. DC power to UUT.
                         Four 8 ohm load resistors and S7 double throw center off switch lines.

P3    DC-37S   Pilot, Copilot, Crew Phone lines from UUT. Comm and AUX mike audio and key
                         lines from UUT. Also S1, S2, S3, S4 double throw center off switch lines.
