LD 4 Panel Notes:

DME Audio 1 available at panel audio jack.

DME 40 / 42 Self-Test use LD 4 Test switch.

DME 40 Standby use LD 4 Standby switch.

DME 40 / 42 DME Flag connected to LD 4 TS 2 on back on panel (terminal 2)

DME 40 / 42 Analog output low connected to LD 4 TS 2 (terminal 5)

DME 40 / 42 Analog output Hi connected to LD 4 TS 2 (terminal 6)

   
NOTES for LD8009A
This harness is modified to run the DME 42 with an IND 42 indicator. It will also run the DME 40 with an 339F-4 indicator. It tunes both units using the 2 out of 5 parallel code. Also provided is access to input CSDB serial control from a CSDB bus simulator or from a CTL-32 through a DE-9S connector on the cable accessory box. Customer can make interconnecting cable with the following pin identification.

While the DME 42 runs with IND 42 indicator it can also operate the 339F-4.

INDICATOR NOTES:

339F-12

When using the frequency hold function use the LD panel switches Range Override and Standby Override in the ON position to place the unit under test in the normal Frequency Selection Mode. To place the unit in the frequency Hold Mode position the Standby Override switch in the OFF position.

339F-12A/12B/12C

When using the frequency hold function use the LD panel switches Range Override and Standby Override in the ON position to place the unit under test in the normal Frequency Selection Mode. To place the unit in the frequency Hold Mode position the Range Override switch in the OFF position.

339F-12A/12C Only the Nav 1 Frequency Selection is connected, Nav 2 is not selectable.

DME 42
