The KX 155A is a VHF COMM Transceiver and Navigation Receiver with a audio amp, VOR/LOC composite output, and optional Glideslope Receiver.

The KX 165A is a VHF COMM Transceiver and Navigation Receiver with VOR/LOC converter and an Glideslope Receiver.

The LA2027 is provided with a Nav/Comm phone audio switch, three KX unit connectors and three indicator connectors.

The Voltage Change jumpers selects the proper voltage input lines for the KI208A/KI209A indicators corresponding to the operation voltage of the unit under test.

The Nav/Com phone audio switch connects either Nav or Comm phone audio to the phone circuit of the LA panel. On those units with an audio amp option this switch should be positioned to the opposite circuit of the one being tested. This is to remove the loading from the circuit under test.

Of the three KX connectors provided only two are used at one time, P155A/P165A and P155A2 for the KX 155A or P155A\P165A and P165A2 for the KX 165A.

Three indicator connectors are provided. Only ONE connector is used at a time. One is for the KI 202,203,204,206,207 indicator series, one for the KI 208/209 and the other is for the KI 208A/KI 209A. Indicators that are compatible with the KX 155A or the KI 165A unit being tested must be used.
